So many of us are feeling awful about the recent attacks in London and Manchester which have caused so much fear, anxiety, pain and sadness not to mention heartache. My heart goes out to the many innocent victims who were attacked as they enjoyed an evening out as well as their loved ones who are suffering too. So many innocent lives have been cut short leaving those who love and care for them grief stricken. Today many of those affected are fighting for their lives while others are realising the extent of their injuries, some of which are life changing. So much pain and sadness ripples out to those whose lives have been touched by these acts and we are left wondering what there is to gain from these acts.
The effects of the attacks are certain to have long-lasting consequences as some people may feel they need to stay home to avoid being affected by possible, further attacks. Many people who already suffer from high levels of anxiety often struggle to use public transport and be around large crowds therefore these events can have an even bigger impact on their life style choices as well as possibly steering others to feel the same levels of anxiety and face the same issues and possibly make the same decisions as a result of the fear. Sadly people may fear going to concerts and could miss out on such enjoyment. Decisions to avoid public transport and concerts as well as areas where there are lots of people and decisions to stay away from central London can leave people feeling more and more isolated and that isolation can cause depression which can then lead to further isolation and further depression. So many lives will change, and not for the better, as a result of the attacks therefore it’s important that we reach out to others and show we care by our actions as well as words. Anxiety, fear, pain and sadness are real issues felt by many; let’s reach out and spread as much love as possible to as many as possible.London attack: The hero police officer who rugby-tackled a knifeman
