Stop smoking £397 includes 2nd session for up to a year
Why do people continue to smoke even when they want to stop?
Most people are aware that stopping smoking could mean living a healthier, longer life as well as saving thousands of pounds per year; however, they continue to smoke.
The reason people continue to smoke is due to F.E.A.R
F.E.A.R. related to the following misconceptions:
Freeing yourself of that old habit could mean going through a traumatic process in which you constantly crave cigarettes;
Enjoyment of life and your ability to relax and handle stress would be hugely reduced;
Appetite increase means you will gain weight;
Repeated failed attempts have led you to believe that it is too difficult for you to quit smoking.
Freeing yourself of smoking with hypnosis is easier than quitting without hypnosis; stopping smoking does not have to be traumatic. Hypnosis can help you with cravings and I will be supporting you, reinforcing the work we have done, further motivating you and giving further suggestions aimed at reducing cravings. We will explore the hidden triggers that have kept you smoking and the association between the triggers and smoking will be weakened during hypnosis.
Enjoying life, relaxing and managing stress should not be adversely affected because you have quit smoking; I will teach you specialised breathing exercises which are scientifically proven to relax your body and mind by influencing the Sympathetic Nervous System and the Parasympathetic Nervous System, slowing down brainwaves, blood flow and heart rate to a natural, comfortable level. You will be encouraged to continue to practice the breathing techniques, several times per day, to replace the relaxation which some experience while deeply breathing smoke in and out with a cigarette. You will be further motivated to carry out the exercises so that they become a regular habit each day.
Appetites sometimes increase as non-smokers experience blood sugar lows, which smoking usually masks. However we will discuss alternatives strategies with which you can replace the smoking habit for example, focusing on healthier eating, exercising, even small things such as walking up stairs rather than using lifts. Your unconscious mind will receive suggestions and motivations, during hypnosis, to continue to eat the same amount you currently eat, as well as being motivated to eat healthier food.
Repeated failed attempts, does not mean that you will fail now with hypnotherapy; I know from helping clients quit smoking that success rates were higher with hypnotherapy than without it. Hypnotherapy works alongside your own will power, dealing directly with your subconscious mind which governs habits, to help your mind resist the temptation to smoke. We will explore the emotional reasons you continue to smoke even though you would prefer not to and to look at strategies to implement in order to help you deal with your emotions rather than smoking.
In addition to imprinting the importance of healthier eating and living, during hypnosis, the notion of feeling like you’re being deprived of a pleasure when you are no longer smoking, will also be addressed. We will explore other ways you can ‘treat’ yourself rather than with a cigarette. We will also address changing your routine to help break the associations of routine and smoking so that you no longer automatically reach for a cigarette.
You will be given a smoking log to complete before you have an appointment, in order to recognise your smoking patterns and the emotions that trigger you to have a cigarette and how you feel after you smoke each one. During the appointment we will address any limiting beliefs you have about your ability to stop smoking, as well as any misconceptions you have, such as thinking that smoking relaxes you.
